Advice from our experts: why is instrument sterilization necessary and how do we do it?
Our dear clients! We often hear the question: “Why is such complex sterilization necessary? Is it possible to get by with simple processing?” Our answer is always the same - sterilization is absolutely necessary if you want your manicure and pedicure to be not only beautiful, but also safe for your health!
Our advice #1: Always pay attention to how the expert processes the instruments. Even a high-quality manicure can have unpleasant consequences if the instruments are not sterile.
To put your mind at ease, we will tell you how we work:
Step 1. Cleaning. Immediately after use, we clean each instrument from skin residue and dust.
Step 2. Disinfection. Cleaned instruments are always soaked in professional disinfectant solutions that kill bacteria and fungi.
Step 3. Sterilization. After disinfection, the instruments undergo heat treatment in a dry-heat oven or autoclave. High temperatures guarantee complete disinfection.
Step 4. Storage. We pack clean and sterile instruments in special craft bags or containers and open them only in front of you.
Our advice #2: If in doubt, do not hesitate to ask the master how exactly he sterilizes the instruments. A true professional will always be happy to tell and show the packaging!
Our advice #3: Give preference to salons that use disposable files, buffs and consumables — this way you further reduce any risks.
