Some days you want a soft, natural manicure that works with everything. On other days, you may want more color, a little sparkle or simply something you have never tried before.

That is why we keep the Nailmaster.r color selection varied.

Our studio offers milky bases, natural pinks and beiges, sheer finishes, pastels, brighter colors, shimmer and sparkling effects.

You can arrive with a clear idea, show us an inspiration photo or choose your color when you get to the studio. And if you have no idea what you want that day, our nail technicians can help you narrow it down.

We look at your skin tone, natural nail color, length and shape because the same shade can look completely different from one person to another.

We do not simply want to apply the color you point to on a chart. We want the finished manicure to suit your hands and feel right for you.

What is a camouflage base?

A camouflage base is a nail product that provides both color and structure.

You may also see it called a colored base or cover base.

With a more traditional gel manicure, the technician may level the nail first and then apply the color separately before finishing with top coat.

A colored base combines the leveling stage and color in one material.

Once the base has been applied, it is finished with top coat and the manicure is complete.

Because there are fewer separate application stages, this type of manicure can often be quicker than using an additional layer of colored gel polish.

How camouflage bases look as the nails grow

Many clients also like natural camouflage bases because regrowth tends to look softer.

Near the cuticle, the product is applied more thinly. When the base is sheer or close to the natural nail color, the transition can look less noticeable as the nail grows.

Every manicure will eventually show regrowth, of course. But with milky, beige, pink and other natural shades, the line is usually softer than it would be with a very dark or bright color.

Camouflage bases and French manicure

The base shade matters a lot when you are having French nails.

It creates the background for the tip and changes the overall look of the manicure.

That means even classic French nails can look different every time.

You can choose a very sheer, natural base or go for a more opaque milky or pink shade.

If you normally choose milky or beige nails but want a change, you do not have to jump straight to a very bold color.

Shimmer and sparkling bases

Our collection also includes bases with shimmer, fine glitter and reflective particles.
